Chilly Pepper & Chicken and Dumplings

Poor Pepper!

She got a little chilly and practically buried herself in the blanket.  (I helped pull the over up over her back.)

The weather is getting cooler, and it is time for some great comfort food recipes!  I just happened to try a new recipe for Chicken & Dumplings the other day, and it was Yummy!!! I just have to share it with you!

Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings

This was a super duper easy recipe. You’ll have to follow the link for the recipe because it isn’t mine, but I will tell you how I plan to change it when I make it again.

McD loved the taste, but said it could use more of the soupiness.  He didn’t know it was just Cream of Chicken soup, so I plan on adding more of it and maybe chicken broth instead of water. We are also huge fans of all things spicy, so I plan on adding some jalapenos to the crock pot next time as well.

I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Try it, and let me know what you think. It was a winner winner, chicken dinner here at our house.

What a sweet little baby Pepper. I fostered a mama Pit Bull and her 4 puppies for the local shelter. I had the mama for about a week, then the puppies were weaned and she went to another foster home (she had some skin issues and needed to gain a lot of weight before she was adoptable). I had the puppies for about 3 weeks or so. They are the cutest and sweetest little dogs. Since then, I’ve met more PBs and they all love to be in direct physical contact with the other pets in the home or touching their humans. One friend has a PB that will actually lay on top of one of the other dogs. It’s heartwarming and sweet. It also may be because they don’t have much coat and they get cold easily. Anywho, PBs are just the cutest!!

I guess I should say that I don’t know that Pepper is a PB but she looks a little like one and that she loves to be cozy and tucked seems like a PB trait.
