Mourning L’Amour

Yes, you read that right.

Right before I left for Honduras, I stopped to pet L'Amour and to give her a couple of treats. It was my way of saying that I would see her when I got back. Yes, I literally said that to her, and she knew exactly what I was saying.

When I got home I received a text from a friend asking if I had seen L'Amour lately. It appears L'Amour hadn't been seen for while.

Yesterday I drove around looking for her, but I knew I wouldn't find her. We are all worried that she met up with a pack of coyotes.

It would be great if she would just show up again, but I am afraid that won't happen.

It was nice to have her around while it lasted.

If you missed the whole L'Amour story, you can catch up here and here. Oh, and here.

I am so sorry…I have had beloved strays disappear like this and, as hard as it is, it is always easier to know for sure what happened. I hope she shows up but, if not, I hope you find her….prayers and hugs.

I am so sorry… that is so sad… our stray kitties disappeared a few months ago which made me sad. I think it was the coyotes although the kitties had so many safe hiding places, maybe they just went traveling down the road.

Last year I read that a young woman jogger in Canada was attacked and killed by a pack of coyotes. It was the first ever confirmed human mortality by coyote.
