Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday -Little Things

Hey, hey, hey!

I’m blogging from my chemo chair today!

Let’s do a Thankful Thursday!

It’s kind of funny that I am getting all my treatments on Thursday, but I am still thankful for so many things.

Today, humor me, and tell me something you are thankful for…something little.

I’ll start…you’ll have to go to the comments to see mine. 🙂

Prayers, hugs, and ladybugs!!!

Ok, I’ll go. I’m thankful for my hands. They are big(for a woman)and strong(for a woman). In fact, I think they are one of my best features. Yep. Thank you, God, for my hands…. to love, create, serve…

You said something small, so today I am remembering how thankful I am for days when I don’t have to wear makeup or a bra. I haven’t had one of those days in a week and a half. lol

I am thankful for the sounds of children playing Monopoly on the back porch. I am thankful for the weather that is letting them play outside with the door open, so I can keep an ear on them. I am thankful for medicines that work. I am thankful for a yoga class tonight. I am thankful that my older daughter can babysit my younger son. I am thankful for being able to help where I am needed. I am thankful for people who help me when it is needed. I am thankful for the flowers I was able to cut and put in a vase this morning, as stargazer lilies smell stronger and better than the guinea pig cage. Whew! Got started and couldn’t stop. I am thankful for that too! I hope the chemo is hard on the cancer and easy on your body. <3

I’m thankful for surprise visits from you! Thank you for coming to see us! I’m thankful for my little girl Carson who I get to talk to every morning after I’m already at work because I leave the house before she’s awake. We say ‘good morning’ and fill in details of our upcoming day and then it’s ‘gotta go, love you mommy, bye’. Yep, very thankful for those minutes!

I am thankful that after 17 months of dealing with a leg injury that I am getting out more and planning a short trip next weekend. My head needs to recognize more often that my body is not as limited as it was and say YES more often!
And I’m thankful for finding you; we all need to be slapped upside the head every once in awhile and be reminded of how lucky we are.

I am thankful that I made it all the way to my sister’s house yesterday without getting lost. I know that sounds stupid, but I’ve never drove it before, my husband always did. I have this thing about interstate driving — makes me nervous! So, I was excited about seeing my new niece, Caroline and so glad that I finally did it!

I am thankful for a house which came up for sale at a time when we didn’t want a house, a house that is so beautiful and old we fell in love, and put a bid on it, a very low bid that should not have even bought us the carriage house, but bought us an entire three story six bedroom house that goes with the carriage house. And theeeeennn getting a call, out of the blue from someone who wants the house we’re living in…desperately. We hadn’t even got a realtor, for pity’s sake! In these days, who’d have even thought this was possible? God.

I am spoiled by Facebook (not that I am thankful for that ! hmm) BUT, I wanted to click the “like” button for all the thank you that I read.
I am thankful that I waited and was able to be lifted up by the reminders of God’s love for everyone. I am encouraged.
I was reminded of that verse (and had to look it up) Philippians 1:6(NIV)
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
