Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday – 2011

Good morning!

Today is the first Thankful Thursday of the year 2011.  Twenty Eleven.  Two Thousand Eleven.

I have so many things to be thankful for, and I know you do too.

I am so thankful for my husband.  I know, I know, I've said that before.  But before I had not been out of a job for over 6 months.  Before, I was helping on the financial front.  And now, now I spend more than I make.  Only because I don't make anything.  Spending $1 is spending more than I make, and my husband, McD, doesn't make me feel guilty about it. at. all.

The other morning he mentioned that the first thing I do in the morning is get up, and get on my computer.  And it is true, I do.  But you see, I have several job listing emails/sites to check before I start my day.  Honey, that is why I get on the computer.  Oh, and to check that book called Face.  But the first thing I check is the newest job listings.

I am so thankful that when McD comes home he doesn't ask what I've done all day.  He doesn't push me to find a job, in fact, he never mentions it.  I don't know if he already knows that I think about it enough for the both of us, or if he enjoys me being home.

What are you thankful for on this beautiful Thankful Thursday?

Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you are posting what you are thankful for today.

Whenever I have been job hunting, I always thought it was best to get the ‘hunting’ done first thing in the morning as well, then move on with my day. It can be really frustrating, but I learned that if I did what I had to do (looked at the ads, sent out resumes, etc…), the best thing to do from there forward was enjoy my day, not drive myself crazy trying to conjure up a job out of thin air.
It’s so great that you have a husband who is supportive. Good luck with your search!

I am thankful for my husband, my puppies, my sister, my nephew and his wife and precious baby daughter, my best friends, a roof over my head, the gentle rain outside, and the cooler weather.
